Chaplain

Carmen is the root of our tree. Her smile alone lights up a room, and her hugs and soothing voice brings comfort to those she supports in thier time of need. She became a Chaplain in 2019 and End of Life Doula in 2021. The trusting relationships she establishes with clients through the entirety of her time as an end-of-life doula is essential, to give the families the comfort that is needed in such a dark time. Her first language is Spanish, which is helpful as she is able to identify with the culture and background and it’s a comfort to the families. She utilizes her knowledge to reach young kids and teenagers in her community and as an important leader when a loss happens within the neighborhoods. Her light is always remembered for years to come and she is highly requested throughout our community.

Maria is quiet but observant, which can be very essential when providing information and the proper resources. As a Companion and Planning Doula her role is to listen to the information given from the clients, make sure the needs are discussed and make adjustments that will best navigate them through the End-of-Life journey. Maria specializes in finding the best resources and information needed to provide the best quality care for our community. She started her journey as a personal care attendant and specialized in respite care. In 2016 she graduated from The Clemente Course in Humanities.
Her passion and goals are to help families of young children who are dealing with terminal illnesses. She hopes to be a beacon of light through the darkest times for those innocent lives.

Chaplain

Miram has such a beautiful spiritual energy that brings something different to our clients. She makes you feel supported and guides you through this experience with peace and comfort. Her years of experiences and wisdom has been a growing factor in our faith. She teaches and mentors chaplains with the resources and tools to begin their calling. As a Chaplain at the hospitals, she knew her calling was bigger and became certified as an End-of-Life Doula in 2019. She continues to bring support and education as she travels to offer trainings and share her knowledge.
